The Gen 3 Coyote is one of the best sounding modern V8 engines Ford has ever built. The Thermal R&D 3" Catback Exhaust System for the 2018–2023 Mustang GT is engineered to bring that sound forward with a deeper, more aggressive tone while maintaining the daily drivability expected from a modern performance car.

Most Mustang GT exhaust systems force you to choose between aggressive sound and highway comfort. Thermal R&D was engineered to deliver both. At the core is our proprietary True Helmholtz Technology, a precision-tuned resonance chamber system designed to eliminate the low-frequency cabin drone commonly found in aftermarket Mustang exhaust systems.

The result is a deeper, fuller sound under throttle with a clean, controlled tone while cruising. No rasp. No constant highway drone. Just a refined performance sound that matches the character of the 5.0 Coyote.

Constructed from mandrel-bent T304 stainless steel, this system delivers long-term corrosion resistance, consistent exhaust flow, and OEM-level fitment. The full 3" design improves exhaust efficiency while maintaining strong sound quality across the RPM range.

The system installs using factory mounting locations with no cutting or modifications required. Header adapters are included for builds running aftermarket long tube headers.

Out back, quad 4" angle-cut tips are available in polished stainless or black coated finishes, giving the rear of the Mustang GT a clean, aggressive appearance that properly fills the factory valance.
